Its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset outperforms the 13's Gen 2, delivering roughly 30% faster single-core performance. The display on the 14 is significantly brighter at 3000 nits versus 1900 nits, uses LTPO OLED technology for better efficiency, and pushes higher resolution (2670 x 1200). Camera improvements include a larger f/1.6 main sensor with Light Fusion 900 processing, plus upgraded 50MP telephoto and ultrawide lenses replacing the 13's smaller sensors. Battery capacity increases slightly to 4610 mAh, but the real win is 90W wired charging versus 67W. Storage options expand substantially (up to 1TB), and RAM reaches 16GB. The 14 adds USB-C 3.2, Wi-Fi 7, and newer Bluetooth 5.4. The Xiaomi 13 remains solid at $799, offering strong fundamentals at lower cost, but the 14's $899 price point justifies the upgrades. This is a worthwhile generational jump if your budget allows. Otherwise, the 13 still delivers excellent value for 2024.
